The test of a good show is whether, in theatrical parlance, it is going to "build up” after tho first night. Front this .point of view the Jack Waller Vaudeville Company has been stamped with the hall-mark of success. As the week has progressed, the audiences have increased in dimensions so that crowded houses have become the rule. There is no doubt that the present combination Mr'Waller has brought together is an exceptionally clever one. The title which has been adopted for it—" Look Who’s- Here”—and the peculiar method of poster advertising which has been adopted really give no idea of the absolute merit of a company full of novelty in the way of mirth and music. The company includes first-class musicians, comedians, singers, and dancers, and a programme is presented which is brimful of novelty. The company will continue to appear at the Grand Opera House until tho end of the week. BMPRESS~THmTRE. LigEt as a. piece of thistle down she skims with bud-hke effortlessness through the air suspended by one foot, she swings and twists and turns till the eyes grow dizzy; she flies from one ring to another with marvellous exactitude; leans out at impossible angles with only the suspicion of security - , and poises in mid-air like a butterfly in flight. She is more like a fairy than. a. nice- girl." CRiOWN~THHATEE. “Maternity.” the World Film drama, screened at the Crown last evening, deals with a woman who j s fearful of becoming a mother Alice Brady takes tho role of the heroine, and her portrayal of the yofing -wife with a life problem of her own to solve ; s not only convincing, but is exquisite to a degree. The story is finely told, and the problem it faces is treated with duo respect. The photography throughout is excellent. Particularly brilliant is it in the nght scene, where the hospital is burnt to tha ground.
