SCHEDULE OF BUSINESS 45 PUBLIC BILLS PASSED, 36 DROPPED. The schedule of the business of thß House of Representatives ami of Bills passed and lapsed during the session, laid on the table of the Rouse yesterday by the Speaker (Sir IV VT. Lang), shows that;2l select committees had •been appointed—2o on public matters and one on private Bills. In all 81 public Bills had been introduced, of which 45 received lire Royal Assent, and 33 wore dropped or otherwise disposed of. One private Bill.received the Royal Assent. The petitions presented numbered no fewer than 493, 379 being from. Europeans and 114 from Maoris. Niue divisions were taken iiv tho whole Rouse and 33 in Committee. The Rouse sat on 80 days in all, the number of hours of sitting before midnight totalling 492 hours 59 minutes, and the number of hours alter midnight 18 hours 52 minutes —making a total of 511 hours 51 minutes, and a daily average of 6 hours 24 minutes. The questions asked of Ministers numbered 682, and the entries in the journals 813—a total 1495 and a daily average of -19.--Tlio papers laid on the table of the Rouso totalled 401, and of these 135 wore ordered to be printed.
