BUTTER OUTPUT
AN IMPERIAL OFFER. TO BE CONSIDERED BY DAIRYMEN NEXT WEEK. Replying in the House of Representatives yesterday to a question by Mr H. J. H. Okey, M.P. for Taranaki, the Prime Minister stated that ho had received an offer from the Imperial Government for the whole of the next season’s output of butter, and notice had been sent to the representative men in the dairying industry throughout the Dominion to meet him in Wellington next week to consider the proposal. (Hear, hear.) In reply to Mr G. JAnderson (Mataura), Mr Massey said that he had no further information in regard to cheese, but he had reason to expect a reply to his last cable with respect to cheese at the beginning of next week, probably on Monday. (Hear, hear.)
