It is not proposed to amend the Pensions Act in the direction of pro-' viding pensions for women whose husbands are chronic invalids, stated tho Minister in charge of Pensions (Hon. A. M. Myens), in reply to a query put to him in Parliament by Mr Glover (Auckland Central!. To give effect to the suggestion was to initiate an invalids ’ pensions scheme, and, with the heavy financial responsibilities at the present time, tho Government cannot see its way to launch such a scheme.
