DEATH OF A LITTLE BOY. Press Association. DUNEDIN, August 10. The coroner (Mr Bartholomew) returned a verdict of accidental death in the case of the boy Douglas, aged throe, who was drowned in one of the Drainage Board’s mud tanks. He added that the mud tanks and gratings were a menace to. the lives o f children on tho flat. The tanks wore positive death-traps. He was strongly of opinion, that steps should be taken to render tho gratings more sepurej and prevent their being misplaced by children and others.
