Tho Minister for tho Interior has stated that Barcelona is quiet, and work Tho railwaymen at Valontia struck, hut subsequently work was resumed. Reports have been received of tho derailment of a passenger train near Varagassa (?) —a collision at Caspo station, between Madrid and Barcelona. and a collision on the Nonthenu railway at Valentia, all interrupting cogununioations. Tho Governor, aided by the military, entered tho Palace at Barcelona, where seventy Deputies and Senators, with their leaders—Cambo, Lerroux, and Melquiadcs—of the so-called Catalan Parliament, was assembled, and compelled the meeting to disperse without incident. Tho frontier paper “Echo, von Eheinfall” reports that according to German deserters, a soldier threw a bomb, at the Kaiser’s motor-car in Juno.' Tho chauffeur and adjutant were killed. Some say the Kaiser escaped; others report that he "'as injured. It was worthy of note that the Kaiser did not attend the recent political conferences, being represented by the Crown Prince. It is evident that the national service scheme is a complete failure and it will shortly close. It has been the cause of great expense and the results achieved have been negligible. The site of the Australasian bureau is in the heart of the city, within easy reach of all the principal features ot interest.
