INDISCRIMINATE KILLING. Whether he has considered the advisability of stopping tho killing of oWo lambs and owe sheep generally; and whether ho will stop the indiscriminate killing for freezing purposes of young cattle—calves, yearlings, and heifers. This question, was asked ra tho House yesterday by Dr Thacker. In a note to his question, Dr Thacker states; Anything with meat on it has been rushed into the freezers and cool stores by meat-shark profiteers. The Minister admits the hulk of carcases in cool storage is ewe and lamb meat.; depletion of stock in this manner may raise a national crisis. South Island stock returns show a great shortage of sheep.’
