The Arbitration Court yesterday gave judgment on the point raised as to whether a machinist under the furniture trade award was to he paid as such when employed in wire-mattress making. The court held that in the absence of a definition of “machinist/’ in the award the machinist who was employed by B. L. Hart and Co. was entitled to be paid as a machinist —Is 6d pur hour.
