ESTABLISHMENT OF BURSARIES. Press Association. DUNEDIN) June 19. The University Council has received a letter from Air T. K. Sidey, ALP., offering a donation of £IOO per annum for four years for the establishment of Dental School bursaries. Ho expressed tho hope that other sums would bo donated, so that, if possible, they should have available, with tho Government subsidy, at least £SOO for bursaries. The value of the bursaries is to range from £2O to £SO. Tho gift has neon accepted with thanks, and tho scheme stands referred to tho linance committee for a report.
