POLICE CASES YESTERDAY. Before Mr L. G. Birid. S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, Marion McLaughlin, an old woman of 73, was brought up on A charge of vagrancy. She was convicted and ordered to come up for sentence' when called upon, provided she reuUins for six months in the Magdala iiomc. Sarah Goodwin, charged with drunkenness. was fined JOs, or three days’ imprisonment. Edwin Kruger, aged 16, pleaded guilty to stealing an electric torch valued at 10s 6d, and several toy cannons, the. property of William Carr, at' Blenheim, lie was fined 20s, in default seven days’ imprisonmentMAINTENANCE CASES. Orders were made in the following maintenance cases; —Hugh Davis, 6s per week, in default seven days’ imprisonment;- Frederick Anderson, 10s a week: William Lansing, 10s a week, in default a month’s imprisonment; Thomas Weaver, 10? a week, or fourteen days; George Scurr, IDs a week; Joseph Dowling, Us a week-
