Dominion during May, 1917: — Hemp—The total number 'of bales graded was 12,18* as compared with 10,8*1 for the corresponding, period of last year, ah increase of 1343 bales. For the twelve monthi ended May . 31st, 1917, the number of. bales graded was 148,669,. as -compared with. 1*3,829 for the previons twelve months, ah increase of 48*0 balesTow —During, the month 2850 bales were dealt with as’compared with 2368 for ■the corresponding month of last year, an increase- of -!SB2 bales. For the twelve months ended May 31st, 1917, the number of bales - graded was 37,404,. as compared with 39,39* -for the previous twelve months, a. decrease, of 1930 bales.
Stripper Slips—During the month the number of bales graded,wasjl76, as compared with 303 for, the corresponding month of last year, a decrease of 127 hales. For the twelve . months ended Mar 31st, 1917, the number of bales graded was *330-as compared with 6758 for the previous twelve months, a decrease of 2*28. bales.
