FEDERAL PARLIAMENT OPENED
FINANCIAL STATEMENT ON THURSDAY. By Teiegrraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received June 12, 8.40 p.m.) MELBOURNE, June T2. Tho Federal Parliament was opened by commission. On Thursday Sir'Jolm Forrest will deliver his Financial Statement. After passing Supply tho House will adjourn until early in July, when the Governor-General will deliver his speech. It is understood that with tho view to raising a large amount of necessary new revenue the Government is considering the imposition of primage duty on all imports, including those on the free list.
