FATAL ACCIDENTS
BOY SHOT BY PEA-RIFLE. Press Association. BLENHEIM, April 30. Thor© was a shooting fatality at Opouri Valley, Marlborough, on Saturday afternoon. George .Pearce and Leslie Gibbs, aged fourteen years, were out with a pea-rifle. Gibbs was accidentally shot. Death was initantnneoua, CHILD RUN OVER, ACCIDENT ENDS FATALLY. AUCKLAND, April 30. Douglas Surtees, aged four years, died at the hospital as the result of injuries sustained through a tramcar running over one of his legs, the foot being practically severed. JAMMED BY A TRUCK. AUCKLAND, April 30. Frank Rhodes was jammed by a truck at Westfield Manure Works, and died from his injuries.
