MR HOLMAN’S LEADING PURPOSE IN HIS VISIT TO LONDON. United Press Association —Copyright. SYDNEY, April 19. The “Sun” newspaper states that the leading purpose of Mr Holman’s visit to London is to Interview Mr J. Norton Griffiths, M.P., head of the firm of Norton Griffiths and Co., Ltd., contractors, to endeavour to arrange for release from the Government’s contract with the firm for tho construction of four railways upon payment of compensation. Tho Sydney representative of tho (Norton Griffiths Company is vigorously protesting against the closing of public works. The State’s stoppage of works on the ground of shortage of money is a direct breach of its contract. It is authoritatively stated that tho Government is endeavouring to terminate the contract by taking over all the works and paying the company a commission on the money raised hy it.
