Despite The Fortune Hunter’s win in the Autumn Stakes on Saturday, the public favoured the chances of Court Jester and Green Cap for tho Sydney Cup. Prince Bardolph, last year's winner, was prominent in the early stages, but was unable to stay the distance. The Fortune Hunter was always handy, and again beat the fancied division, scoring cleverly from the Australian Cup winner, Harriot Graham.
