RESOLUTIONS OF GRAND LODGE. Press Association. DUNEDIN, April 9. The annual meeting of the Grand Lodco of New Zealand, Loyal Orange Institution, resumed to-day:. Resolutions were passed “noting with satisfaction that Mr Massey, during his visit Home, had refused to he drawn into the Home Rule controversy, and emphatically protesting against Sir Joseph Ward, while representing the Dominion, associating himself with the Homo Rule controversy; assurfhg The Minister for Education of the lodge’s profound agreement with the decision of Cabinet to maintain free, undenominational education in Now Zealand, and expressing sympathy with the Minister upon tho attacks made on him; drawing tho attention of tho Acting-Prime Minister to the intensely objectionaolo references to shrines and crucifixes in letters of sympathy sent out by the High Commissibnor; drawing tho attention of the Acting-Prime Minister to tho fact that a custom was being established by tho Roman Catholic authorities of celebrating Mass in public places of tho Dominion, and askind tho Government to take steps to prevent what is little short of an outrage upon Protestant sentiment; and protesting against tho presence at tho Vatican of a representativo of the Court of St. James.” The following office-bearers have so far been elected for the ensuing year: 8.W.G.M., Ere. Liddell (Timaru); G.D.M.. Bro. Hay (Timaru); Grand Chaplain, Rev. Olphert (TeAwamutu); Grand Foreman of Committee, Ere. J. S. Dickson (Parnell); Grand Secretary, Bro- Leaman (Wellington); Grand Senior Deacon, Bro. Davidson (Hastings) ; Grand Junior Deacon, Bro. Melrose (Waihi); Grand Tyler, Bro. Lyons (Dunedin). Several other offices are to be filled as soon as the list is completed, when tho installation ceremony will take place. Delegates from oilier centres Jep.ve for their homes to-morrow.
