PROTEST FROM BUSH DISTRICT. Press Association. , WOODVILLEy April a. The local branch of the Farmers' Uijion met on Saturday afternoon. There was considerable discussion over the b s3 trcr-fat levy, and the following resolutions were unanimously passed: -—“That it be recommended from this branch that the executive take immediate action to got the butter-fat levy abolished, as it is an injustice to a large section of the small producers of the .Dominion, being an indirect land tax of from live to fifteen. shGlmgs per acre on the hardest workers and the poorest class of farmers; also that, all branches of the union be asked to pass resolutions to strengthen the hands of the executive.”
