CAMP NOTES
TRENTHA-M. - The allocation of officers and men for camp duty to-day is as follows: Captain of the day. Lieutenant C. McCarthy, A Company, 24th Reinforcements. Subaltern of the day. Major J. H. Keddell. Unit for duty, Second-Lieutenant E. G. Ellis, A Company, 24th Reinforcements. Camp orderly sergeant-major, Staff-Sergeant A Company, 24th Reinforcements (L< Company, 24th Reinforcements supply shortage). Captain E. Purdon, N.Z.S.C., has been granted sick leave from March 28th to April 21st. The following temporary appointments are approved of by the Camp Commandant; Headquarters Staff (Camp Military Police) —Sergeant H. J. Nicoll to be quartermaster-sergeant. P Company, 24th Reinforcements— Sergeant R. J. Fuller to be company sergeant-major. N.Z. Postal Service —Sorter J. GBrown to be sergeant. Sorter L. A. Lowe to be sergeant. G Company, 27th Reinforcements — Corporal J. Wright to be sergeant. Corporal P. J. McCormack to bo lancesergeant. 30th Reinforcements, Infantry—Corporal F- H. Quinton to he sergeantB Company, 28th Reinforcements— Private F. D. Sheahan to bo corporal. FEATHBKSTON. Second-Lieutenant H. C. Smith has been transferred from Feaiherston Details to Trentham Details (E Company, 24th’ Reinforcements). Tho Camp Commandant acknowledges the receipt of 11 cases of tomatoes and 1 case of cucumbers, addressed “Featherstou Camp, with beat wishes from Nelson’’; also one case of cucumbers from an unknown donor. The following temporary appointments have boon approved by tho Camp Commandant; —Corporal L. Draper, H. Company, 26th, to be sergeant ; Corporal F- R. Humphrey, Maintenance Department, to be sergeant: Sergcnnt W. O. Warrnan, 23rd Specialists, to be sergeant; Private A. Cook, 27th M.R., to be shoe-ing-smith; Lance-Corporal M. O. Smith, 26th Specialists, Signalling Section, to be corporal. 27th Specialists, to ho lance-corpor-als—Private J. Gillick. Private R. Bailey, Private E. Browne, Private L. Havill, Private C.
