Dairy Company, of Elizabeth street, Wellington, was, on the 16th day of MARCH, 1917, at the Magistrate's Court, Wellington, convicted upon a charge that in breach of the said Act the said Company on the 10th day of JANUARY, 1917, at Wellington, did sell for human consumption or use a quantity of milk which contained less milk fat than is allowed by regulation and upon such conviction tho said Wellington Dairy Company was fined the sum of £5 and ordered to pay coats of tho said proceedings. T 1 IHE National Efficiency Board liereby notifies that in pursuance of the powers conferred upon it by an Order-in-Council dated February 27th, 1917, it is proposed to hold an Inquiry nt its Office. 38, The Terrace, Wellington, commencing on TUESDAY, APRIL 3rd, 1917, at 11 a.m., before WILLIAM FERGUSON, Chairman, to receive such evidence as may be tendered, bearing upon the advisableness of _ the restriction, continuance or abolition during war conditions of: Agricultural and Pastoral Shows. Amusements, including Picture Theatres. Sports, including Racing. Inquiries will also be commenced on the same day by other Members of the Board at Auckland. New Plymouth. Christchurch, and Dunedin. Further sittings will be held on subsequent dates, to bo announced in the local newspapers, at Whangarei, Hamilton, To Aroha, Wanganni. Gisborne. Hastings. Masterton, Palmerston North, Greymouth. Nelson, Blenheim, Timaru, Oamaru, Gore, and Invercargill.
