On Good Friday, April 6th, the Postal Department will be closed in all its branches. Mails for dispatch by steamers will close at 8 o’clock on the previous evening, and only dispatches of correspondence by trains will close on Good Friday as follow: —For the Wairarapa, Hawke’s Bay, Manawatu, Rangitikei Wanganui and Taranaki district at 5.45 a.m.: for Auckland and Auckland district at 8 a.m. The city and suburban receivers will not be cleared during the dav, but the midnight clearances will be made os usual. There will not be anv deliveries by letter-carriers on Good Friday, but on Thursday, April sth, the carriers’ department (upstairs from Featherstxxn street) will be open for delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs from 8 to 9 p.m.; also the public counter for the delivery of correspondence addressed Chief Post Office, and the parcels delivery counter will he open from 8 to 9 p.m. Oh Easter Monday. April 9th, the Chief Post Office will be open in all its branches (except money order and savings bank) from 9 to 10 a.m. Mails for dispatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m. and the only dispatches of correspondence by trains will close as follow: —For the Wairarapa, Hawke’s Bay/ 8 Manawatu, Eangitikei | Wanganui and Taranaki districts at 5.45' a.m.; for Audi land and Auckland district at 8 a.m. The' city and suburban receivers will not be cleared during the day, but night clearances will be made as usual. There will bo no delivery of correspondence, by letter-carriers in the city or suburbs, but on Saturday, April 7th, the lettercarriers will make a full delivery in the city and suburbs in the afternoon, for which correspondence must be posted at the Chief Post Office by 1.40 p.m. The letter-carriers’ department (upstairs from Featherston street) will be open from 8 to 0 p.m. on Saturday for the delivery of correspondence addressed to streets in the city and suburbs) also the public delivery counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m. for the delivery of correspondence addressed to the Post Office, and the parcels delivery counter will be open from 8 to 9 p.m.
