Last week Mr H. E. Holland received a cable message from .Melbourne inviting him to undertake an Australian “Xo Conscription” lecture tour during the Federal election campaign. Last Thursday he applied for a permit to make the visit. On Saturday ho was notified over the ’phono that the permit had heen granted; and on Monday ho received a communication from the Minister regretting that his application could not be granted, and stating that he would not be permitted to leave Xew Zealand during the currency: of tho wax.
