SHIPBUILDING TROUBLE T?ARROW-IN-FURNESS STRIKE. By Telcffraph—Press Asaaciatiou—Oopyrlfb* Reuter's Telegrams. (Received .March 27. 8.45 p.nO LONDON, March 20. According to a .statement- made by Mr Rollin' Law in tho House of Commons the strike at Barrow-in-Fur-ness, previously cabled, is not over. Tho offer still remains open. Mr Honor Law added that the Government viewed the interruption of the production of munitions with ;.ho utmost gravity. The stoppage of work when other methods of settlement wore open could not bt, too strongly deprecated. On March 23rd the Press Bureau announced that after a conference between the Government authorities and representatives of the shipbuilding industry and employees at Barrow-in-Furness, it was agreed tlmt_ there should be immediate resumption lit work, on the strength of Sir Hodge's promise to secure a settlement within a week. The award was to. be retrospective. The trouble arose out of the alleged cutting of premium bonur and time allowance.
