Tho City Council, acting on the advice of tho city engineer (Mr W. H. Horton) has bought Messrs Mac© and Nicholson’s quarry in Ngahauranga Gorge. This will provide a regular supply of good metal, which is essential now that the council has charge of the Hutt road. Some alterations in the working of the quarry will he made as soon as possible, to ensure economical working.
