The course, though rather on the hard side, afforded nice going, and good-sized fields were seen out in most of the ewents. With half the distance covered the leader mixed his gait, and rounding the top turn Sympathy was in charge. She held her advantage till within a furlong of the post, where Great Britain caught her. A furlong from the post Dainty Dillon took charge and won comfortably by six lengths from Arcadian. Four lengths back came General Joffre, followed by Mystic Bells. Time, smin lOsec.
