SENATE NOT A LION IN THE PATH.

Speaking at the picnic of the employees of tho naval establishments, Senator Gardiner denied that tho Senate Was the lion in the. path of the party in power. If a proposition were put before the Senate for the benefit of the country it would get tho same consideration as though it had been proposed by the Labour Government.
