PROTECTION OF ANIMALS

Tho fortnightly meeting of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held Jast evening, Mr F. Meadowcroft presiding. Tho inspector’s report mentioned that 13 cases of cruelty had been attended to, two cases having been taken to court. The following subscriptions were reported : —Mrs Atkin, £1 Is; Messrs J.
