A* GENEROUS DONATION

The Hon. G. W. Russell (Minister for Internal Affairs) announced in the House of Representatives last night that ho had received the following telegram from Mr G. P. Donnelly, of Hawke’S Bay:—‘‘ln response to the .■appeal of Queen Alexandra, I have touch pleasure in posting you a cheque for £250 towards the Lord Kitchener Memorial Fund, the object of which is to benefit our disabled heroes. This 'donation is part of my promised subscription of £SOOO, for which I reserved the right to donate to such funds as I thought fit.”
