NEW CAPITAL CITY PRESIDENT CARRANZA’S PLANS. rirrapb—Preas Cr»T>rrlffl* NEW YORK. January 24. President Carranza and his Cabinet have decided to found a new capital of Mexico at Dolores Hidalgo, the geographical centre of the republic. Old buildings will be razed to build a home for the future President, It will bo in the nature of a garden city, partly on the Washington model. It is proposed to sell the majority of the public buildings in Mexico City, with the exception of the National Palace and the Governor’s Palace. It is thought that if £10,000,000 is raised it will bo sufficent to begin operations.
