EULOGY BY LONDON NEWSPAPER. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright (Received October 13, 11.25 p.m.) LONDON, October 13. The ’ “Daily Chronicle,” in a subleader, emphasises the public-spirited-ness of Sir George Reid’s offer to continue to act as High Commissioner for Australia without pay, and adds: “Wc will welcome Mr Fisher, but .we regret Sir George Reid’s retirement. Sir George has served Australia well, and has been a most influential Ambassador of the Commonwealth. . He, has made Australia known and understood in the Motherland as no other Agent-General or High Commissioner has done for any Dominion. He has been an efficient envoy and a splendid commercial traveller.”
