FIRE IN ROLLESTON STREET
TWO HOUSES DESTROYED.
At 0.30 o’clock, this morning a fire broke out in No. 60, Rolleston street, an empty residence. The flames quick-, ly spread, and sdon the adjoining premises—No. 58, a residence occupied by a Mr Smith—was enveloped in fire, The occupants managed to escape, but their effects and the contents of the house were destroyed. No. 60 was burnt to the ground, and No, 58 wai practically gutted.
