By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright MELBOURNE, October 11/ ' The-Federated Marine Stewards’ and Pantrymen’s Association has lodged an appeal for a compulsory conference with the Steamship Owners’ Association in the various States. The men claim that the results of New Zealand’s veto on, tipping are not confined to hew Zealand services, and has led to a oonTsiderable shrinkage of tho coastal stewards’ earnings, necessitating a readjustment of wages.
