ROYAL HUMANE SOCIETY AWARDS. Press Assoointion. CHRISTCHURCH, July 14. The court of directors of the Royal Humane Society made the following awards to-day; Case of Charles J. F. Lansdown (forty-two), for rescuing William Guthrie (forty-five) from drowning at Wellington on December 11th, 1914, letter of commendation. Case of James Gordon (forty-five), for attempting to rescue Elizabeth and Lawrence Kesyler from drowning at Deep Creek on January 15th, 1915, bronze medal. Case of Ronald J ohn Stephens (twelve) for attempting to rescue Taranga Mold from drowning at West Shore on February 14th, 1915, letter of commendation. Case of James A.. Westwood (thirty) and Walter A. Smith (thirty-one), for rescuing Mr James from- drowning at Lyall Bay on May 2nd, 1915, no award as no personal risk. Case of Albin R. Durbridge (twentyeight), for rescuing Sydney Shaw .(twenty-six) from drowning at Panmure on December Sth,- 1914, bronze medal.
