ANNUAL MEETING OP FEDERATION. DISPUTE WITH SHEARERS SETTLED. The annual meeting of the New Zealand Sheepowners’ Federation was held in Wellington yesterday; Mr H. D. Acland presided. After the transaction of formal business, the meeting was adjourned to enable the executive of the New Zealand Shearers’ Union to- be received in connection with tho shed-hands’ award. " This was done during the afternoon, with the result that there was a complete settlement of the dispute arrived at. The currency of the new agreement is for two years. The old conditions of employment are practically renewed, hut the men are granted an increase of 5s per week in their wages, which are now from 32s 6d to £2 per week and found. Action is to be taken by the Shearers’ Union to embody the agreement in an award.
