SOLDIERS’ MESSAGES

ARRANGEMENTS FOB TRANS- 1 MISSION. The Postmaster-General announce!! that he lhas made arrangements with the Cable Companies with regard to soldiers' messages as follow:—. j. Persons in New Zealand may send, at the rates for such messages soldiera' week-end (EFM) cable l<r soldiers in Egypt and the United Kingdom with instructions to reply at tho cost of the New Zealand senders. Such! instructions must appear ns the last text word thus: "Reply ETP."’■“BTP" means "New Zealand receiver to pay”; and twelve is the greatest number of words that, will bo accepted in the reply. * 2. The replies from tho United Kingdom will not be accepted at telegraph offices in the United Kingdom, but at the office of the High Commissioner; for New Zealand in London ; they mush contain tho last word "RTP," must bo countersigned by tho military authority: under whoso control tho soldier is, and must be addressed by post at United Kingdom inland rates to tho High Commissioner for New Zealand, Westminster Chambers, 13, Victoria street, London, S.Wi The High Commissioner will provide for their despatch to New Zealand.

Members of the New Zealand expeditionary force in the United Kingdom. but not in Egypt, may also sona "EFM" messages to New Zealand without the receipt of any preliminary message from Now Zealand.
