THE WILLOCHRA
WELCOME FOB THE MEN. A wireless message received by the Defence authorities states that the Willochra, wliich is bringing invalided New Zealanders from the Dardanelles, will arrive in i Wellington on Thursday next, July 15th. The Mayor (Mi- J. P. Luke) has proposed to the Minister for Defence that the local welcome to the invalided soldiers should take the form of a luncheon at the Town Hall, where brief speeches could, he made. The men who were sufficiently well to attend this function could be taken from, the ship’s side to the hall in motor-cars. The proposal will receive further consideration.
