The essential qualifications are;— A thorough training as an Engineer, cither by means of an apprenticeship or pupiWiip in a recognised engineering establishment, or a full course at a University or other recognised school of Engineering. Experience in the design and operation of electric supply systems on a. large scale selling energy to not less than 5000 separate consumers at a rate of not less than ten million units per annum. A knowledge from experience of methods in use for the distribution over large areas of electricity in the form of extra high tension current. Experience, in the management of considerable numbers of men, i.e., an applicant must have had control of not less than 200 men at one time. A desirable qualification is a. knowledge of the ordinary routine methods of business as used in large commercial establishments. The person appointed will he required to devote the whole of his time to the duties of his position, and must be competent to take charge of the whole undertaking in the absence of the General Manager. The salary to be X 650 per annum for the first year’s engagement, increasing to X7OO per annum at the end of twelve months’ service.
