APPEAL CASES
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright LONDON, July 8. In, the Privy Council appeal case, Rutherford versus Acton Adams, both of New Zealand, the appeal was dismissed, with'costs.' In the case Bacon versus Purcell, of Australia, special leave to appeal was granted. - [Tho .case' is ono in which William Acton Adams, of Christchurch, was originally plaintiff and Duncan Rutherford was defendant, and it arose out of the sale of a sheep station, in Canterbury. Plaintiff claimed to recover tho balance of purchase-money, and defendant refused to pay, alleging certain misrepresentation. Tho case was removed into tho Court of Appeal* for argument ana motion for judgment. Judgment was given for plaintiff, with costs, and defendant then appealed to the Privy Council, where plaintiff 1 has again been successful.!
