CITY BUFFET HOTEL. Mr P. J- ("Paddy”) Griffen. late of the Pier Hotel, who lias- purchased the well-known property known as the Cicy Buffet Hotel, is carrying out extensive structural alterations to the building. The plans for those were drawn by Mr J Charlesworth, architect, and are being carried into execution by Messrs Campbell and Burke, builders. The whole of the interior of the City Buffet is being remodelled and an up-to-date hotel newly furnished by the genial licensee, will be the result. Altogether some .£SOOO is being spent in the improvements. On the ground floor there will be n large oval bar, modern in design'. a vestibule, and a large diningroom. The first floor, when complete, will contain bedrooms. commercial rooms, smoking-rooms, and sitting-rooms, and the second floor bed and sittingrooms. There is no doubt that in the near future the Citv Buffet will be numbered among the most popular hotels in the city. *
