Private A. Fraser, of tbs Ist Canterbury Infantry Battalion., who left Now Zealand with the main body, and has just returned invalided from Kgypt, arrived by the Auckland express yesterday afternoon. Interviewed on his arrival ho statdd that he had practically nothing further to add to the statement ho gave to the press in Auckland. In answer to a question ho said that the second attack on the "Suez Canal was easily repulsed by the British soldners, the Australians and New Zealanders being only concerned in the hirst attack. Speaking of the Turkish soldier Private Fraser stated that ho is not a bad stamp of a man, but judging from those who were made • prisoner ho is placed on a starvation ration and his general equipment is of tho poorest description.
