QUEENSLAND SUGAR CROP

The Commonwealth Government is taking over tho Queensland sugar crop for the current year, amounting to 120,000 tons. It is arranging with tho Colonial Sugar Company to undertake the refining and distribution- It is understood the purchase pried was £23 per ton.
