WOUNDED RETURNING

LONG LIST OFFICERS AND MEN FROM DARDANELLES. The Defence authorities stated yesterday that the troopship Willochra, which is now on her way to New Zealand, has on board 273 wounded and invalided New Zealanders, most of them belonging to the main expeditionary force. The vessel is due to arrive in New Zealand waters about throe weeks hence, and though the first port of call has not been fixed definitely, it probably will bo Wellington. The men returning arc classified as follows: Officers. Men. Totals. Invalids 4 106 110 Wounded 8 100 163 12 261 273 The Defence Minister mentioned yesterday that complete arrangements had been made for the care of the men after their arrival in New Zealand, though it was assumed that the majority of them would be sufficiently convalescent to bo able to go to their own homes. The patients who required hospital treatment would be distributed over the various institutions, and ample accommodation was available. If necessary a hospital train would be run to carry the men to their destinations. Tho invalids wore under the care of a fully equipped medical and nursing staff on the transport.
