Rainsford renewed bis application ‘n be allowed to exchange part of bis I-F. holding 20, block 3, Kaitieke S.D., tor part of section 21, adjoining, and it was resolved to adhere to the board’s previous decision and to decline the application. J. Bentley applied for permission to demolish old building on Hall-Jones settlement, for the purpose of using material for enlarging cow-shed and re-

pairing barn, and it was resolved to grant it. The Kaitieke County Council applie<l to have section 2, block 5, llaurimu township. Oa Ir Op. set aside as a reserve for county purposes—lt was resolved that the board cannot sec its way to comply with this request, and to offer this section for cash by public auction at an upset price of Xlb. Messrs Perham, Larsen and Co., Ltd,, applied for the freehold of part section 31, block 5, Karioi, Oa 3i: lOp, which they are at present leasing from year to year, and it was resolved to decline to 'consider the matter until the subdivision of the adjoining Crown land takes place. J. MuiNeill applied for a license to cut timber on section 4, block 7, Kautapu survey district, and it was resolved to decline.

A report was received from the ranger making suggestions for the grouping of oeitain sections in the Horopito Village Settlement. —It was resolved to adopt the lour groups suggested and to re-offer them under Part 111. of the Laud Act, 1903, at the price of X 6 per acre; sections comprising the groups to be withdrawn. from sale as at present advertised, ivignts of tramway to be reserved. It was resolved, to allow the former sub-lessees oi sections 10, block 12, iluangarua, 531 acres; 11, block 16, Huangarua S.D., 219 acres, and 0, block r2, Iluangarua. S.P., 360 acres, to remain. in occupation from Ponruary Ist last at the rentals hituerto paid, until J uly Ist, 1915, on which date possession will be resumed. This permit to be subject to condition that no over-stock-ing takes place. With rote.rence to the board’s resolution of April 26th, 1915, granting 11. B. Coffey a license to occupy a strip of about GO acres in Te Tuhi block for a term of 5 years, Mr Ooßey requested that the license be issued to Messrs Bennett and Carrick. to whom he has sold Jus land.—it was resolved to approve.

The Tiratu Sawmilling (Company applied for a permit to graze on sections 3 and 4. block V, Makotuku S.B. —It was resolved to allow tliem to graze on about 30 acres in south-east corner of section 4, at a rent of -k5 per annum, and also to permit them to graze on other burnt patches provided they grass them and keep down noxious weeds on the whole ■area grazed.! It was resolved ft) approve of the amount received for improvements on section 18, block 5, Mangaweka North township, viz., .£5. being paid to the person entitled, to receive it. It was resolved to reoffer section XI, block 5, Horopito West township. 2 roods, on renewable lease, at present rent with value of improvements reduced from .£lO 10s to .111. It was resolved to rcoffer section 6, block 7, Whirinaki, area 498 a 2r. under Tart 111, of the Band Act, 1908," at the original capital value of' .£O3O, and to recommend offering subject to section 127 of the baud Act, 1908, with exemption for four years.

Kaitieke S.D., as a site for a dwelling and homestead, and it was resolved to decline his application. The Boxdale Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., applied tor a license of sections 89. 2 and 3, in McKenzie Village, area 2a’ Ir, and it was resolved to grant it under section, 130 of the Land Act, 1908, for. a term of five years at a rent of ,£2 5s per annum, subject to the usual conditions, a proportionate reduction of rent to be mad© if possession of section 89 or any other section is resumed at any time. , It was resolved to approve of tenders being invited tor lease of section 9, block 1.
