The steamer Collairniq sank a German sumbarino off the Northumberland coast. The engineers felt a shock and oil rose to the surface. :[The Collairni© is a vessel of 435 tons gross, built in 1913, and owned by the North British Shipowners, Ltd.] THREE SHOTS FIRED. (Received Alay 17, 1 a.m.) LONDON, Alay 16. The patrol boat fired three shots at the submarine. It was not ascertained whether the submarine was hit, but she disappeared.
