“QUEEN" PATRIOTIC CARNIVAL

HOW THE PUBLIC CAN HELP. A great deal of public interest is being manifested in the patriotic carnival to be held on the King’s Birthday (June 3rd), Hundreds of workers are already engaged upon preparations, and no doubt the public will assist in every way possible to make the effort a ) complete .success. _lf all citizens lend their aid a big sum should be raised'for the assistance of incapacitated soldiers and sailors, and the dependents of those who lose their lives. A feature of tho carnival will be a great harvest sale, and ,for this purpose donations of all kinds will bo required. There may bo some who cannot afford to give much financial assistance to the cause, but every homo and farm can supply some goods suitable for sale at tho carnival. Farm and garden produce of every kind, home-made preserves and cakes,-handi-crafts, etc.—articles of all sorts will be welcomed, and will help to swell the fund. Several districts throughout the province have already formed local committees to forward the good work. The organiser, Professor Cardston, will visit anv suburb or town as soon as a committee is formed to meet him. It is intended to make the carnival thoroughly representative of tho whole province.
