NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW, 1915
A Palmerston Northcorrespondent advises that space applications are once more very heavy, indicating that there is no diminution of the interest always evinced in this popular fixture. Tho display of machinery is one of the outstanding features of the - National Dairy Show, so this year’s event, from present appearances j is likely to keep up its reputation in this respect. Heavy entries aire exipected in the main competitive divisions of the show, as well os in poultry.' The Department of Agriculture is to make a display covering approximately 4000 square feet of floor space alone. The school sports, which were inaugurated last year, will again be held on June 22nd (first day) and the Wauganui-Te Ante College football matches will be played off on June 23rd. Thursday, the third day, is reserved for the hunting competitions, and Friday is allotted to pony leaping ■ and other competitions. The new honey championship is to be decided by the staff of the Director.of Orchards and Apiaries; Division of the Department of Agriculture, and an interesting competition in these classes is expected.
