SAILORS’ FRIEND SOCIETY
. At the Sailors’ Friend Society last night a pleasing programme was provided by Mrs Stark and party. Various competitions were held during the evening. Feeling reference waa made by the missioner, Mr Moore, to the casualties suffered by the Now Zealand troops. The gathering adopts ed a motion of detestation at the sinking of the Lusitania. At the close a vote of thanks was rendered to the performers. The following were the performers:—Mrs Stark, Misses Halliburton, Chapman, Messrs Stark ant Bryant. Miss Bollworthy was acconi panist.
