Darnel Burford Hooke, D.D., was born in April, 1847, and was ordained in IS7U. Positions he has hold in the Church include secretary of the Colonial Missionary Society, editor of the “Evangelical Magazine,” editor of the “Congregational Magazine,” and /'British Missionary,” secretary of the Congregational Union Jubilee Fund, assistant and later actingsecretary of the Congregational Union, editor of the t‘lndependent” and “Nonconformist,” secretary (and 'later chairman) of the Congregational Union of North Wales.])
