FIRE

At a quarter to I o’clock this mornt ing, tho Fire Brigade was called to No 6, Tennyson street, a seven-roomed licuso of two storeys, occupied by Donald Gillies. The fire was got under after the staircase and two bedrooms at the back had been badly damaged, while the rest of the building « more or less affected by smoke and* water. A candlo carried by one of the inmates came in contact with at curtain, and tho flames spread rapidly till the brigade applied a strong water flow. The owner of the building way unknown last night. There was no insurance on the contents.
