THE RHODES ESTATE
The fact that on April 28th all the city properties comprised in the wellknown and very valuable Rhodes estate will be offered for auction in the Chamber of Commerce is a matter of great public interest, and a preliminary announcement to this effect is made to-day in our advertising columns. About twenty-five or thirty properties will he offered, and they are all located within the city area between Thorndon and Te Aro, being situated on Lambton quay, Victoria street, Cuba street extension, Tory street, Featherston street, Grey street, Bowen street, Tinakori road, Adelaide road. Among properties at Wadestown to be submitted are “The Grange” and several building sites surrounding it. Catalogues with plans are now being prepared; also full particulars will appear in future advertisements. The following firms hate been appointed to act as joint auctioneers in the conduct of the sale; Messrs J. H. Bethune and Co., Harcourt and Co., TV. H. Turnbull and Co., and S. George Nathan.
