WAR NEWS AND THE PRESS
Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, August 12. The secretary of the Newspaper iProprietors’ Association of New Zealand, which comprises the principal city and country newspapers of the Dominion, tells that the president, Mr P. Selig, has dispatched the following communication to all members: —‘ ‘Censorship of war news. In reference to the request of the Defence Department not to publish certain information, the president has assured the authorities that they can rely upon the members of the association in the present great crisis to loyally carry out the requests made.”
